Essential Jewelry Design 5-Days Basic Course

During this course students will learn the basics of traditional illustration and rendering techniques for jewelry design and will gain a solid foundation of jewelry design knowledge and the ability to communicate various jewelry styles and types to the final consumer.
It is a perfect for those looking to become jewelry designers to build their portfolio and for those working in the marketing and consumer side. The course will cover gemstone and precious metals illustration and drawing plus how to lay out different jewelry designs such as earrings, pendants and more.
One highlight of this class will be how to design rings in perspective view.
At the end of the course, the students will be familiar with jewelry design and workmanship, jewelry items’ practical features and emotional benefits as well as the major jewelry design methods.
At the end of the course students must pass a written exam to complete the class successfully.
The course fee corresponds to 240.000 OMR.
An advance payment of 70.000 OMR is required in order to confirm the registration.
The course will take place from 8th to 12th March at GIG headquarters
How you learn with GIG
Daily activities are developed through lectures and laboratory sessions. A limited number of students per class is accepted, so that the hands-on training and personal coaching can be more successful.
What you use
The students will receive class notes to accompany this class and use as a reference to study.
The course includes 20 hours of theoretical and practical lessons, divided into 5 days from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm, with short breaks.
